Monthly Book Club

The book club meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the bookshop.  Everyone is welcome to join.  The club is free and open to the public. 

We ask that if you join, you make a good effort to complete at least 100 pages or as much of the book as possible to make the discussion more lively and interesting for all.  The selections the book club reads are decided by vote and recommended by anyone in the club, provided the title is in print and available for ordering.

Past selections have included:  “East of Eden” by John Steinbeck”, “The Widow’s War” by Sally Gunning, “Triangle” by Katharine Weber, “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen, “Whistling in the Dark” by Lesley Kagen, “Nineteen Minutes” by Jodi Picoult, “Truck: A love story” by Michael Perry,  “Spot of Bother” by Mark Haddon, and “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak among others.
